Genealogist to discuss researching Native American heritage
SEP 9, 2020 - The Oklahoma Genealogical Society will host the webinar program “Native American Genealogy & Research” from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Rick Fogarty, who specializes in Native American tribal, adoption and DNA/forensic genealogical research, will be the presenter. Fogarty is a professional genealogist and lecturer in Hazlet, New Jersey, and a third-generation genealogist with Oklahoma roots and a citizen of the Muscogee Creek Nation. He has attended the Boston University forensic genealogy course, the Forensic Genealogy Institute genetic genealogy course, Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, and the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research.
